Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department for full-time, three 12-hour evening shifts per week, Noon–12:30am, with rotating weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities include providing evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with patients and families, and documenting assessments and outcomes in accordance with policy. Ohio RN licensure required; 2 years for casual RNs; new grads may enter Nurse Residency.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as an RN in Ohio.
• 2 years of experience for Casual RNs.
• New graduates with <1 year clinical experience enter Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in ED with patient safety focus.
• Collaborate with patient/family to plan care.
• Communicate pertinent information to team promptly.
• Document assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately.
• Take accountability for care provided by others as appropriate.
