Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System in Ohio is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department for a full-time, three 12-hour shifts (noon–12:30am) with every third weekend and rotating holidays. You will provide patient-centered care within the Ohio Nurse Practice Act and promote evidence-based practice in a Magnet-recognized setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate from school of nursing.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Casual RNs require 2 years of experience; new grads may enroll in Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice.
• Assesses and plans care for an assigned patient group with family involvement.
• Communicates pertinent information to the team in a timely manner.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes per standards and policies.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided by other licensed/unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
