Job summary

Mount Carmel Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. The role involves three 12-hour day shifts per week, rotating weekends and holidays, with responsibilities across patient assessment, care planning, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate from school of nursing.
• Licensure: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
• Experience: For Casual RNs 2 years of experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing care, ensures patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives within the ANCC Magnet model.
• Assesses and evaluates patient care for an assigned group, develops a plan of care with the patient and family.
• Communicates pertinent information to team members in a timely manner and keeps patient/family updated.
• Documents assessments, interventions and outcomes accurately per standards.
• Assumes responsibility for care provided and documented by other licensed/unlicensed caregivers as appropriate.
