Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care, collaborating with medical providers and the care team. The RN advocates for patients and families, ensuring compassionate and individualized care using established models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.”

• Assess and manage patient pain, perform procedures, and document care thoroughly and promptly.
• Respond promptly to patient requests, anticipate needs, and resolve issues proactively.
• Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatments, medications, and lifestyle changes, ensuring understanding of complex information.

Minimum Qualifications

• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year.
• Registered Nurse license.
• Associate Degree required; BSN preferred, with 12 months enrollment and 24 months completion.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications, obtained within 90 and 30 days respectively.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or equivalent, obtained within 1 year.
