Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator Patient Flow for the Emergency Department at Kennestone Hospital.

This FT Night role leads staffing, patient flow activities, and services to ensure efficient care delivery in a high-volume ED environment. You will oversee department operations, supervise staff, and collaborate with physicians and other care teams to maintain quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor’s preferred.
• RN licensure in good standing.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS certifications required or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Constantly round in ED triage, waiting areas, and patient rooms to oversee flow and coordinate with care teams.
• Organize work environment and patient care teams to achieve unit outcomes and coordinate admission and discharge flow.
• Provide leadership in prioritization and communication across ED and other departments to improve throughput and patient safety.
• Monitor ED patient tracking board and feedback through huddles and reports to improve throughput and patient experience.
• Lead performance improvement efforts and contribute to policy and process development for patient flow.
