Job summary

Wellstar Health System, Inc. is seeking a Coordinator Patient Flow for the Emergency Department, nights. The role leads staffing, patient flow activities, and ensures safe, efficient care under the ED leadership.

The position requires a registered nurse with a minimum of 3 years in an ED setting, current life support certifications, and strong communication and analytical skills to support throughput and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred.
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS etc. relevant life support certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years of nursing practice in an Emergency Department.

Responsibilities

• Constantly rounding throughout the Emergency Department triage area, waiting rooms, and patient rooms to oversee patient flow.
• Liaises between Bed Management, ED providers, nursing, and other departments to assure timely placement and efficient throughput.
• Supervise and coordinate patient placement and patient flow through the ED with clear leadership and prioritization.
• Focus on patient throughput and patient experience; oversee ED tracking board for all patients.
• Provide feedback on throughput performance to the ED team via huddles and reports.
