Wellstar Kennestone Hospital is seeking a Nurse Coordinator for the Emergency Department to manage night shift operations, staffing, and patient flow. You will supervise placement, collaborate with ED providers, nursing, and allied teams to ensure timely throughput and high-quality patient care.

The role requires current RN licensure with life support certifications and a minimum of 3 years in an ED setting.

Formación

• Minimum 3 years of nursing practice in an Emergency Department.
• RN license(s) and required certifications must be current.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Responsabilidades

• Constantly rounding through the ED triage, waiting areas, and patient rooms to oversee patient flow.
• Liais e between Bed Management, ED staff, providers, nursing, case management and other departments for throughput.
• Supervise and coordinate patient placement and flow with clear leadership and prioritization.
• Maintain oversight of the ED tracking board for all patients in the department.
• Provide feedback on patient throughput to the ED team via huddles and reports.
• Evaluate care delivery processes to ensure timely patient flow and compliance with standards.
• Participate in performance improvement projects and committees.
• Lead staff engagement and performance to support diverse patient populations.
• Ensure decisions follow regulatory standards and department policies; propose changes when needed.
• Interact as a liaison with patients and families; support emergency preparedness.
• Support policy formulation affecting patient flow, safety, and quality.
• Provide objective staff performance feedback to ED leadership.
• Other duties as assigned and compliance with Wellstar policies.
