Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Tradition Hospital in Port St. Lucie is seeking a Patient Service Specialist for the Emergency Department. You will register patients, coordinate visits, verify insurance and schedule appointments to support timely patient flow and throughput.

You will assist with MyChart enrollment and outreach to patients for upcoming checkups. The role requires flexibility across day/evening/night/weekend shifts, with emphasis on patient experience and accurate data handling in a fast-paced

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED with 2 years in patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance processing or customer service.
OR an Associate's Degree with 1 year of experience.
OR a Bachelor's Degree.
Working knowledge of Windows PC applications.
Ability to perform basic math for processing co-pays.

Responsibilities

Patient registration, visit preparation, telephone triage, insurance verification, co-pay collection, patient and record tracking, scheduling, arrival/departure desk activities and screening/interpreter services.
Enter and maintain confidential patient information.
Recruit, enroll and educate patients on MyChart and Appointment Pass.
Follow-ups to MyChart, web appointment inquiries and outreach to patients about upcoming routine checkups.
Process the workflow for the day.
