Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ, seeks an ED Clinical Patient Ambassador to enhance patient and family experience in the Emergency Department. You will greet patients, coordinate care with the ED team, and support staff to expedite tests, bed availability, and dispositions.

You will educate patients and families about ED processes, address concerns, and collaborate with physicians and nurses to ensure compassionate, efficient care in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• LPN/EMT or equivalent clinical experience required.
• 3-5 years of clinical experience preferred.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with care team to create the best possible patient/family experience.
• Educates patients and families on the ED process and potential admission.
• Proactively greets patients and families in ED areas and communicates status of tests and bed availability.
• Serves as primary contact for any patient/family issue and brings concerns to resolution.
• Supports ED physicians and clinical staff as requested or directed.
