Job summary

Boston Medical Center's Roslindale Operations seeks a Patient Access Representative to join a fast-paced Trauma I Emergency Department. You will greet patients, identify eligibility, and perform rapid registration while coordinating with insurance verification and authorization management.

Using Epic and related platforms, you will document demographics, collect copays, maintain HIPAA compliance, and support a patient-centered experience in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience (admitting, medical office, managed care or insurance).
• Ability to understand medical terminology and healthcare processes.

Responsibilities

• Registers patients efficiently and courteously.
• Reviews patient information and verifies insurance details.
• Works with patient data in Epic and other systems; collects signatures and copays.
• Responds to patient inquiries by phone, email, or mail with empathy and clarity.
