Job summary

LCMC Health in New Orleans is seeking a Patient Access Associate for the Emergency Department. You will be the first point of contact, registering patients quickly and verifying insurance, demographics, and required documents to keep patient flow moving.

You’ll work in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, communicating clearly with patients, families, and care teams, while maintaining empathy, accuracy, and efficiency throughout admissions, transfers, and discharges.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist patients and families with urgency and empathy.
• Register patients quickly and accurately during emergency visits.

• Communicate clearly and compassionately in high-stress situations.
• Support admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
• Partner with clinical teams to maintain patient flow and efficiency.
