Job summary

Responsibilities

• Registration in the ED for all patients, including trauma, stroke, and disaster cases
• Coordinate registration with ED nurses to ensure timely triage
• Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays, deductibles, and payments
• Input accurate patient demographics and insurance information into registration software
• Explain and obtain signatures on hospital documents as needed
• Maintain accurate encounter notes and ensure cross-functional communication
• Manage cash handling and balance cash drawers
• Respond to patient and family concerns during emergencies and disasters
