The PAR 1 handles cash balancing, insurance verification, and post-stabilization status checks while supporting trauma and disaster response operations on-site.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience or related certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Register patients accurately in the ED and coordinate with ED nurses for timely triage.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine in-network status post-stabilization.
• Collect co-pays/deductibles and balance cash; document encounters extensively.
• Explain hospital documents and obtain signatures; ensure proper patient record handling.
• Monitor waiting room and patient flow; resolve issues with orders or missing information.
• Communicate with patients, families, EMS, RNs and providers simultaneously.
