Job summary

Qualifications

• One year hospital or related experience.
• AB508 Training within three (3) months.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Medical terminology.
• Previous Emergency Registration experience.
• Basic knowledge of EMTALA and triage procedures.
• Computer and typing skills.

Responsibilities

• Interview and gather complete and accurate demographic data to complete the registration process efficiently and expeditiously.
• Follow EMTALA regulations, not acting on insurance until the medical screening exam (MSE) is complete.
• Obtain appropriate signatures on registration forms and scans.
• Complete insurance verification on accounts and route charts to appropriate departments.
