Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 6 months experience in healthcare or 1 year customer service.
• Pass Patient Access Academy with 85%+ within 6 months.
• CHAA, CHAM or other industry certification preferred.
• Basic understanding of insurance and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary registration of patient accounts for self-pay, government and commercial at date of service.
• Educate patients regarding insurance benefits and liabilities.
• Ensure accounts are financially cleared at time of service through review.
• Deliver exceptional patient experience using CARES, AIDET and EPE tools.
