Qualifications

• Must complete a medical terminology course and pass the terminology test as part of the hiring process.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain an organized environment.
• Demonstrated computer ability with Meditech order entry and charge screens.

Responsabilités

• Maintain E.D. medical records, review for completeness, enter charges, discharge analysis; assist with charting and data entry.
• Serve as unit receptionist: greet visitors, manage telephone logs, arrange specimen delivery and coordinate procedures.
• Perform all clerical duties in the E.D., including transcription of physician orders and medication orders.
• Maintain proper inventory of office supplies and assemble charts/admission packets.
• Verify documentation accuracy and enter charges or revisions into the computer system.
• Answer multiple calls professionally and manage workflow logs and statistics.
• Coordinate transport requests (ambulances/helicopters) and relay accurate information promptly.
• Assist Patient Access Representative to ensure effective patient registration.
