Job summary

Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking an Emergency Department Technician for the full-time day shift (645–1915). Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalent, EMT certification or CNA, current BLS, knowledge of medical terminology, and preferably six months of acute care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current EMT Certification or CNA (state requirement).
• Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.
• Minimum six months experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and basic nursing care for non-critical patients under RN supervision.
• Maintain a safe environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team/unit.
