Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking an ED Tech to support direct patient care in the Emergency Department. The role involves performing vital signs, EKGs, specimen collection, and assisting nurses and physicians under supervision.

You will help with patient transport, documentation, and maintaining a safe, clean environment in a fast-paced setting. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide compassionate, timely care to acutely ill and non-acute patients, while following hospital

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• BLS certification required within hire.
• Strong interpersonal skills and adherence to infection control practices.

Responsibilities

• Collect vital signs and weight.
• Move, lift, and transport patients as needed.
• Perform EKGs and assist with basic tests.
• Assist with IV access and other procedures within scope.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and proper equipment.
• Document patient information in the EMR accurately.
• Provide patient-centered, compassionate care with the ED team.
