Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) seeks an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join front-line emergency care teams. You’ll triage, treat, diagnose, and monitor a wide range of cases, collaborating with doctors to deliver compassionate, high-quality care for pets and their families.

The role emphasizes growth, mentorship, and ongoing learning in a fast-paced environment, with substantial support for skill development and ER-specific certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the VEG location state.
• 1+ years in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and EMR.

Responsibilities

• Triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Deliver gold standard, emotionally intelligent care and support pet parents.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to manage emergencies and cases.
• Perform CPR and use advanced techniques (IVs, monitoring, imaging) as needed.
