Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our Ann Arbor, MI team. You’ll handle front-line emergency care, from triage through discharge, alongside doctors and a supportive team.

The role requires a CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT credential in the state and 1+ year of veterinary tech experience, ideally in emergency settings. Expect a fast-paced, collaborative environment with ongoing learning and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; AVMA accredited program strongly preferred.
• Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the state where VEG practice is located.
• 1+ year experience as a veterinary technician; emergency or specialty preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR knowledge; strong communication.
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg; stay calm under pressure.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Perform anesthesia, diagnostics, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Use advanced techniques and equipment for patient care and safety.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to maintain smooth care flow.
• Communicate effectively with team and pet owners during stressful moments.
