Job summary

VEG is seeking a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team in Michigan. You will work with doctors and VEG teammates to provide gold-standard, emotionally intelligent care across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.

You’ll bring CVT/RVT/LVMT credentials, 1+ year of veterinary tech experience (emergency preferred), and the ability to handle a fast-paced, noisy environment while lifting up to 25 kg.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology (AVMA accredited).
• Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT/RVT/LVT/LVMT) in the practicing state.
• 1+ year in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long hours, lift up to 25 kg, work in a noisy environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat patients; support doctors and team in emergencies.
• Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from first triage to discharge.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood transfusions, monitoring, and anesthesia as needed.
• Use diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement tasks.
• Communicate clearly with team and contribute to care plans.
