Job summary

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line emergency team. You will handle a wide range of cases, from minor to critical emergencies, supporting doctors through triage, treatments, diagnostics, and anesthesia with a compassionate approach for pets and their families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher in veterinary technology strongly preferred.
• Credentialed veterinary technician in state VEG practice (CVT/RVT/LVMT) required; VTS is a plus.
• 1+ year of experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills and EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care from triage to discharge.
• Administer treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Assist with IVs, CRIs, blood products, and other supportive therapies.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and team to maintain smooth patient flow.
• Maintain clear communication and a calm, empathetic presence for clients.
