Job summary

VEG ER for Pets in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front-line ER team. You will perform triage, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing while supporting pet parents during stressful moments.

You will collaborate with doctors and staff to deliver gold-standard, compassionate care and grow your skills in a fast-paced emergency environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA-accredited program preferred.
• Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of VEG practice.
• 1+ year(s) of experience as a veterinary technician; emergency/critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 kg with assistance.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with procedures, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.
• Handle medications, IVs, CRIs, transfusions, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to plan care and ensure smooth workflow.
• Support pet parents with compassion and clear communication.
