Job summary

VEG is seeking an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician to join our front lines of emergency care. You’ll work with doctors and a dedicated team across triage, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing.

This role emphasizes compassionate, high‑quality care for pets and their families in stressful moments. You’ll need AVMA-accredited veterinary technology training, state credentialing, and 1+ year of ER or specialty experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in veterinary technology (AVMA accredited) strongly preferred.
• CVT, RVT, LVT, or LVMT credential in state VEG practice is required; VTS in ECC, internal medicine or anesthesia/analgesia is a plus.
• 1+ year experience in a veterinary technician role; emergency or specialty medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage and treat emergency cases alongside doctors and team.
• Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support from triage to discharge.
• Assist with anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care procedures.
• Perform diagnostics and imaging, collect samples, and manage workflows.
