Job summary

Manatee County in Bradenton, FL is seeking an experienced ECC Training Manager to direct, design, facilitate, and implement comprehensive training, skill verification, and professional development for the Emergency Communications Division of the Public Safety Department.

The role carries significant managerial authority, executive decision-making, and licensing oversight to enforce certification, licensure, and re-licensure requirements while coordinating with government partners and the public.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of operational experience in an emergency communications dispatcher environment.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience developing training programs or supervising staff.
• APCO or NENA CTO Instructor certification within one year of employment.
• NIMS IS-100a, IS-200a, IS-700a certifications required.
• IAED EMD, EFD, PPD and ETC-I certifications within one year of employment

Responsibilities

• Directs, designs, facilitates, and implements a wide variety of training and professional development strategies for the division.
• Improves standards of care and coordinates education for the division, partners, and the public.
• Serving as professional licensing officer to enforce certification and licensure requirements.
• Manage relationships with community, business associates, and other agencies.
