Job summary

Manatee County Public Safety Department is seeking a dedicated ECC Training Manager to lead the design and delivery of training programs for emergency communications. You will develop skill verification, professional development, and standards improvement across the division and with government partners.

This exempt, salaried role requires executive decision-making, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate education for various stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED in a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of operational experience in an emergency communications dispatcher environment.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience developing training programs or serving as a supervisor.
• APCO or NENA CTO Instructor within one year of employment.
• NIMS IS-100a/IS-200a/IS-700a certifications.
• IAED EMD, EFD, PPD certifications.
• IAED Medical, Police, Fire Q certifications within one year.
• ETC-I certification within one year.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Valid Florida driver license within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs, designs, and implements training strategies for the ECC Division.
• Oversees certification tracking and licensure requirements.
• Improves relations with community, partners, and agencies.
• Reports to the ECC Administration Manager.
