Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with 4-6 years of dispatcher experience in a 9-1-1 center.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• No felony convictions.
• No Class B misdemeanors in last ten years; none ever for two or more.
• Must pass background, panel interview, medical, and drug test if offered.
• After selection, submit to fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement training plans based on center requirements.
• Prepare lesson plans, instructional materials, and training resources.
• Conduct classes related to emergency dispatch activities and protocols.
• Supervise and coordinate on-the-job training programs.
• Monitor employee performance during training to identify needs.
• Provide continuing education and in-service training to employees.
• Evaluate calls for service to ensure protocol compliance.
• Develop and deliver formal presentations to stakeholders.
