Job summary

Mercy Flight Central, a nonprofit air medical provider, seeks a Communications Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for transports and general calls. The role requires accurate flight notifications and adherence to policy and procedures in flight operations.

The successful candidate will have at least one year of public safety communications experience and current EMT/EMD/NAACS certifications preferred, with strong data entry and multitasking skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year public safety communications experience (preferred).
• Strong ability to transmit clear messages via telephone, PA and radio.
• Capable of multitasking and handling computer-based duties.
• Knowledge of policy and procedures related to communications and flight operations.

Responsibilities

• Report to work rested and on time.
• Attend shift briefings.
• Maintain currency with company training programs.
• Accurate and timely completion of assigned duties.
• Accurate flight notifications and related documentation.
• Participation in Quality Management program and meetings.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures.
