Job summary

PHI Health is seeking a Communications Specialist to support ground and air operations, coordinating information, flight following, and customer communications for fast, safe transport services. You will work with aviation and medical teams to ensure accurate data and responsive service across multiple systems.

Ideal candidates bring EMS/air medical communications experience, strong customer service, and computer literacy.

Qualifications

EMS and/or air medical communications experience preferred.
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work calmly under pressure.
Must be computer literate and able to learn new software programs.

Responsibilities

Assimilates information to support transport requests and radio communications for all modalities.
Maintains effective communication with crew and aircraft using a statewide multi-channel system; performs flight following per policies.
Documents medical information and coordinates transport details with agencies and departments.
Inputs flight and ground transport data into the network with attention to FAA Part 135 policies.
Maintains relationships with referring facilities to ensure safe, expeditious transport.
Notifies administration and agencies in case of incidents per policies.
Attends departmental meetings and continuing education.
Receives quote requests, educates callers on services and pricing aspects.
Initiates front-end billing for quoted accounts and supports follow-up as needed.
Performs outbound follow-up calls regarding quote status and backhaul optimization.
Other duties as required.
