Job summary

PHI Health is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our leading air medical team in the United States. The role involves handling transport requests, triage, radio communications with airborne aircraft, and coordinating clinically sensitive information with multiple departments.

We value EMS or air medical communications experience, strong customer service, and familiarity with Word/Excel. A high school diploma is required and a sign-on bonus may be available.

Qualifications

• EMS and/or air medical communications experience preferred.
• Experience in public relations, customer service, marketing or sales and/or healthcare billing and insurance preferred.
• Medical terminology preferred.
• Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assimilate information to make quality decisions across transport requests and radio communications for all transport modalities.
• Maintain effective communication with crew members and aircraft using a statewide multi-channel radio system.
• Document medical information pertaining to patient condition and transport activity; coordinate details of transports.
• Input flight and ground transport data into network databases with FAA Part 135 policies in mind.
