Job summary

PHI Health is seeking a Communications Specialist to join our dedicated team in delivering rapid air medical transport services across the United States. The role focuses on coordinating requests, maintaining documentation, and supporting the transfer center to ensure timely patient movements.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma, strong customer service, calm under pressure, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior fire, police, or EMS dispatch and medical terminology background preferred.
• Ability to type at least 25 words per minute and handle stressful situations effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• EMT license preferred and ability to pass pre-placement drug and background screening.

Responsibilities

• Receive, coordinate, and relay requests for air medical transport.
• Maintain quality and accurate documentation of all Communications Center activities.
• Track flight progress and initiate emergency action plans when needed.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers and other air medical providers.
• Coordinate patient transports nationally and internationally and manage transfers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
