Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, medical, water, public works and animal control.
• Evaluate and prioritize caller needs and dispatch appropriate personnel.
• Provide emergency medical information to callers while awaiting responders.
• Operate various types of communications equipment and maintain records.
• Enter information into federal, state and local databases and complete required paperwork.
• Attend training courses and interact with City employees and citizens.
• Note: position does not provide direction to others.
