Job summary

The City of North Richland Hills is seeking a full-time Public Safety Dispatcher to answer and prioritize emergency and non-emergency calls across police, fire, medical, water, public works and animal control services.

You will dispatch personnel, provide EMS information, log data, and maintain equipment; the role requires EMD, CPR, Telecommunications, and TCOLE Basic Dispatch certifications within one year and a valid Texas Class C license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of public-facing customer service or dispatch experience.
• EMD, CPR, Telecommunications, and TCOLE Basic Dispatch certifications within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Answer and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for police, fire, medical, water, and more.
• Dispatch appropriate personnel and provide EMS information while awaiting units.
• Enter information into state and local databases and complete required paperwork.
• Maintain knowledge of communications regulations and troubleshoot equipment.
