Job summary

National Police is seeking a dispatcher to answer emergency and non-emergency calls and dispatch appropriate personnel. Responsibilities include screening calls, prioritizing 911 events, and providing immediate guidance while coordinating with fire, EMS, and law enforcement agencies.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent, be able to obtain GCIC/NCIC certification, and submit a complete Sheriff’s Office application. No prior experience is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, and basic math at high-school level or equivalent.
• No prior work experience required.
• Must possess or be able to obtain GCIC/NCIC certification.
• Must submit a completed Sheriff’s Office application with all requested documents.

Responsibilities

• Answer and screen incoming calls, categorize and prioritize 911 and non-911 calls.
• Determine and dispatch emergency personnel to incident locations.
• Monitor and dispatch radio traffic for fire, EMS, and law enforcement.
• Access GCIC/NCIC databases and ensure compliance with rules.
