Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operates emergency telephones, radios, and security/communication systems.
• Activates emergency procedures for evacuations and similar events.
• Receives and records information related to police services.
• Dispatches officers and notifies command and staff of incidents.
• Prioritizes and assigns emergency calls for service.
• Inputs and receives data related to police activities (criminal history, warrants, vehicle data).
• Accesses restricted law enforcement information (TLETS) via terminals.
• Relays information for backup and support services to field officers.
• Maintains logs and prepares reports.
