Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year in dispatch, emergency communications, public safety, security, or related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Proficiency with computer systems, data entry, and communication equipment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under stress.
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
• APCO Certification.
• Background and drug screening successful.

Responsibilities

• Receive, prioritize, and dispatch emergency and non-emergency calls per procedures.
• Monitor alarms, radio, and CCTV systems.
• Coordinate with emergency responders and outside agencies during incidents.
• Disseminate emergency information using notification systems.
• Maintain thorough incident documentation and logs.
• Prepare daily dispatch logs and activity reports.
• Manage multiple channels and adapt to changing situations.
• Provide professional customer service to callers, employees, and responders.
• Assist with emergency preparedness and continuity during severe events.
• Other duties as assigned.
