Public Safety Dispatch Network in Spearfish, SD is seeking 911 Call Takers to handle emergency and non-emergency calls, verify locations, and document critical details. The role requires calm under pressure, accurate typing, and clear communication to support responders and the public.

Responsabilités

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines
• Confirm incident location and caller information
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function
• Assist distressed callers with calm, clear instructions
• Use language-access resources when needed
• Complete required training and certifications
