Public Safety Dispatch Network in Interlaken, NY is seeking 911 Call Takers who are the first point of contact for emergencies. You will ask focused questions, confirm locations, and document information for responders.

Employees may work shifts, rotating nights, weekends, and overtime. A high school diploma and strong listening, typing, and communication skills are required, with training and certification provided.

Competenze

• Strong listening comprehension, accurate typing, and clear verbal communication are required.
• Assessments and minimum scores are set by the hiring agency.

Mansioni

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller's callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency of the situation.
• Enter accurate details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information promptly to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide authorized pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
