Regional 911 Intake Solutions seeks Call Takers in Redding Center, CT to handle emergency and nonemergency lines with precision. You will verify locations, gather caller details, and document information for dispatch coordination.

The role requires solid listening, typing, and verbal communication, with ability to follow established procedures. Training and certifications are provided; shifts may include nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or recognized equivalent.
• Experience in customer service, telephone support or public safety is helpful.
• Strong listening, accurate typing, clear verbal communication and the ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming emergency calls and assigned nonemergency lines.
• Confirm incident location and caller’s callback information.
• Use approved questions to identify nature and urgency.
• Enter details into call-processing or dispatch software.
• Forward incident information to the appropriate dispatch function.
• Provide pre-arrival instructions only within training and certification.
• Use language-access and accessibility resources when needed.
• Adhere to privacy and confidential incident information rules.
