Job summary

Starburst is seeking an HR Manager for EMEA R&D to act as a local culture and talent partner. Based in Warsaw, this hands-on role will own the full hire-to-retain lifecycle for the region, provide backup operations support, and contribute a local perspective to centrally designed programs.

You will partner with engineering leaders to shape employee experience, manage hiring, onboarding, and people ops activities, and travel 25% for onboarding and events.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of HR experience collaborating with engineering/technical teams is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Polish.
• Strong stakeholder management and influence across cross-functional partners.
• Track record of turning employee feedback into tangible actions that improve culture.
• Travel up to 25% of time for onboarding, offsites and events.

Responsibilities

• Own local hiring and onboarding program tailored to the region.
• Source and screen regional engineering roles and build a local candidate pipeline.
• Design interview loop with Hiring Manager and set interviewer goals.
• Manage offers, day 1 readiness, and compliance for new hires.
• Build local market presence to strengthen employer brand in the region.
• Enable internal mobility while ensuring fairness and equity.
