Qualifications

• BS + 8 years of experience in a related STEM field; MS + 6 years of experience preferred.
• Previous experience as a functional manager or technical team leader.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Object Oriented programming, and software lifecycle processes.
• Excellent written, communication, and emotional intelligence skills; able to work independently and with teams.
• Ability to facilitate/mediate conflict resolution.
• Active Secret Clearance required; on-site work at Rancho Carmel facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead a section of 10–15 software engineers and managers in the San Diego E&S SWDT department.
• Coach staff on staffing, recruiting, training, performance reviews, and salary considerations.
• Lead technical work on programs in communications systems within FNS and ACN units.
• Contribute to software engineering processes and overall program execution.
