Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking a Principal or Sr. Principal Embedded Engineer Software in San Diego, CA to design, develop, integrate and test embedded software for Link-16 and Tactical Datalink domains.

You will collaborate with Systems, Digital, Hardware, and I&T teams in an Agile environment and work to ensure system capabilities meet program requirements. A U.S. Government Secret clearance is required, and onsite work at Rancho Carmel is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Engineering or related STEM field with relevant experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ and object oriented programming.
• Experience across the formal software lifecycle from requirements to testing.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems and low-level firmware.
• Familiarity with static analysis and unit testing.
• Experience using Jira/Bitbucket/Git and agile development processes.
• Knowledge of Tactical Datalink development.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test software for end-user customers and businesses.
• Focus on Link-16 or Tactical Datalink code bases for embedded software.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware and I&T in an Agile environment.
