Job summary

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in San Diego, CA is seeking a Principal Embedded Engineer Software to design, develop, and test cryptographic software for end-user systems. You will work on embedded real-time platforms, contribute to architecture, and collaborate with Systems Engineering, Digital Engineering, Hardware and Test teams in an Agile environment.

This role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of related experience, strong C/C++ and OO programming, and the ability to obtain a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or STEM with 5+ years of related experience.
• Master's degree with 3+ years or PhD with 1 year of experience.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Object-Oriented programming.
• Experience with embedded real-time systems and low-level firmware.
• Experience with Jira/Bitbucket/Git and Agile software development.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance and work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, integrate and test software for end-user customers and businesses.
• Focus on cryptographic software code bases and embedded real-time systems.
• Collaborate with Systems, Digital, Hardware and Test teams in an Agile environment.
• Analyze system capabilities to resolve program requirements and controls.
