Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) in Indianapolis seeks a Software Engineer I to support development, testing, and maintenance of aircraft embedded software interfacing with avionics displays, navigation, and mission planning.

The role requires a STEM degree, ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team, and eligibility for a DoD security clearance. Proficiency in C/C++, C#, Java, and scripting, plus Windows environments, is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java or closely related languages.
• Developing software in a Windows environment.
• Working knowledge in Shell/Perl/Python scripting.
• United States Citizen eligible for security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Use and provide creative solutions to complex technical system and software integration problems.
• Work closely with other software engineers and systems engineers to design ideal solutions.
• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle as a member of a multi-disciplined team.
