Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Herndon, Virginia, seeks an Embedded Systems Reverse Engineer to uncover vulnerabilities in wireless and embedded systems and develop proof‑of‑concept exploits. You will perform high‑throughput reverse engineering, create tools, and leverage AI‑enabled security workflows, collaborating with hardware and software engineers in a fast‑paced team.

You will possess a CS/EE degree and expertise in C/C++, Python, and reverse engineering tools (IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, Ghidra).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in CS, CE, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in C/C++ and Python on Linux with low‑level programming and memory management.
• Experience with reverse engineering and vulnerability research using IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra.
• Experience with agentic AI systems for red‑teaming or hardware/firmware analysis.
• Expertise in firmware analysis (ARM, MIPS, PowerPC, RTOS); emulation (QEMU); fuzzing and exploits.
• Ability to work in the Herndon, Virginia office daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform high‑throughput reverse engineering on embedded systems and network devices.
• Develop proof‑of‑concept exploits for discovered vulnerabilities.
• Leverage agentic AI systems to accelerate red‑teaming and vulnerability discovery.
• Analyze firmware, protections, and protocols to uncover security flaws.
• Create and adapt custom tools to analyze binaries.
• Collaborate closely with CNO developers, vulnerability researchers, and hardware engineers.
• Solve complex technical challenges with no predefined solutions.
