Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Linthicum, MD seeks a Vulnerability Researcher to reverse engineer embedded systems and wireless devices, uncover vulnerabilities, and craft PoC exploits. You will analyze firmware, develop tools, and collaborate with hardware engineers.

The role requires a BS/greater in CS/EE, strong C/C++ and Python in Linux, and experience with IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra. On-site daily with security clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in C/C++ development and Python in Linux environments with focus on reverse engineering.
• Experience with reverse engineering and vulnerability research using IDA Pro, Binary Ninja, or Ghidra.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical contributor to reverse engineering of wireless and embedded systems, identifying vulnerabilities and assessing security impact.
• Develop proof-of-concept exploits for discovered vulnerabilities following DevOps practices.
• Analyze firmware, software protections, and wireless protocols to uncover security flaws.
• Utilize and develop custom tools to analyze and manipulate binaries.
• Collaborate with CNO developers, vulnerability researchers, and hardware engineers in a fast-paced team.
• Solve complex technical challenges with no predefined solutions.
