Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Herndon, VA is seeking an Embedded Systems Reverse Engineer to uncover vulnerabilities in wireless and embedded systems and to develop proof‑of‑concept exploits. You will work with hardware, software, and network experts on vulnerability research and use tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, and Binary Ninja.

A Top Secret/TS/SCI security clearance is required to support national security programs and accelerate advanced vulnerability research in a fast-paced team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in CS/engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience with C/C++ and Python in Linux environments for reverse engineering.
• Experience with reverse engineering and vulnerability research tools (IDA Pro, Ghidra, etc.).
• Familiarity with modern agentic AI systems for security research is a plus.
• Security clearance in any form or ability to obtain Top Secret/TS/SCI is requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-throughput reverse engineering on embedded devices to identify vulnerabilities.
• Develop proof-of-concept exploits and maintain organized codebases.
• Leverage AI-assisted security tools to accelerate vulnerability research workflows.
• Analyze firmware, protections, and protocols to uncover security flaws.
• Use and develop custom tooling to analyze binaries and firmware.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Solve complex technical challenges with minimal predefined solutions.
