Job summary

Two Six Technologies in Dayton, Ohio is seeking a Vulnerability Researcher to advance reverse engineering of embedded systems and software for government customers. You will collaborate with security researchers, CNO developers, and hardware engineers to uncover vulnerabilities and develop PoCs that demonstrate real-world impact.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity research, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering.
• Proficiency with decompilers: Ghidra, IDA Pro, or Binary Ninja.
• Proficiency with debuggers: GDB or WinDBG.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux and network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP).
• Active US Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI.

Responsibilities

• Conduct targeted reverse engineering on embedded systems and software components.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis to find security weaknesses under guidance of senior leads.
• Develop and refine proof-of-concept (PoC) capabilities to demonstrate impact of vulnerabilities.
• Contribute to technical reports and documentation to share findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate research into customer solutions.
