Job summary

IntelliPro in Sunnyvale, CA seeks an Embedded Software Engineer/Developper to own ROS2 nodes, streaming sensor data, and a GPU-accelerated image pipeline on on-site hardware. The role focuses on delivering real-time performance and reliable software for a robotics research environment.

You will work closely with scientists to translate concepts into robust software, integrating vendor SDKs and ensuring low latency across sensing and compute pipelines.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development in C++ and/or Python.
• Hands-on ROS2 experience and node development.
• Experience streaming real-time sensor data on embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Own the ROS2 nodes for the sensor module, including camera, depth (dToF), and IMU streaming at target rates (≈20 Hz for imaging and 1 kHz for inertial data).
• Develop and optimize a GPU-accelerated de-Bayer and image processing pipeline for real-time sensor data.
• Package and integrate the camera vendor SDK into ROS2 packages for maintainable, reproducible builds.
• Perform end-to-end latency characterization and validation across the sensing and compute pipeline.
