Job summary

Bright Vision Technologies, a technology consulting and software development company, is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer for a 100% remote position in the U.S. You will design, implement, and integrate software powering autonomous robots, from low-level sensor handling to high-level perception and behavior modules.

The ideal candidate has strong C++/Python skills, ROS/ROS2 experience, and hands-on work with perception, localization, motion planning, or control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Five or more years of robotics software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in C++ and Python.
• Hands-on experience with ROS or ROS 2 in production projects.
• Solid experience with at least one of perception, localization, motion planning, or control.
• Familiarity with sensor fusion and Kalman/particle filter techniques.
• Experience with simulation environments (Gazebo, Isaac Sim, MuJoCo).
• Strong debugging skills in real-time and concurrent systems.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Experience supporting field tests and hardware integration.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and integrate software for autonomous robots and robotic platforms.
• Work across the robotics software stack from sensor integration to perception and planning.
• Collaborate with product, design, engineering, operations, and business teams to translate requirements into robust solutions.
• Contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and mentoring of junior engineers.
